Pay Range
Pay Range $75,000 - $87,900

Job Description
Reporting to the University Registrar, the Associate Registrar is the authorized keeper of College of Law student records and a member of the Office of the Registrar’s senior leadership team, overseeing registrar functions for the College of Law, including record integrity, retention, and archiving strategy; registration and enrollment processes and systems; degree audits and certifications; and term processing, all within ABA
-compliant academic rules unique to the College of Law.
The Associate Registrar ensures compliance with FERPA and other state and federal regulations, oversees bar certification submissions to state bar admissions offices, and works with College of Law leadership on Joint Degree programs and curriculum accuracy in the Course Catalog and degree audit system. The Associate Registrar supervises the support team, including the Assistant Registrar, and oversees short- and long-range planning for College of Law registrar functions.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required, along with 7-10 years of progressive experience in a Registrar’s Office or comparable higher education administrative role.
- A master’s degree or significant graduate-level coursework in Higher Education, Information Management, or a related field is strongly preferred.
Skills and Knowledge
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with proven ability to manage staff effectively, serve as an effective member of a senior leadership team, and work collaboratively across the College of Law and the University. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and customer service skills, with the ability to assess processes, evaluate problems, and propose and implement solutions and improvements.
- Significant experience working with senior-level staff and administration, preferably in a law school or higher education setting; interpreting, writing, and enforcing academic policies, including ABA , FERPA , and state bar compliance requirements; and working with data to develop reports, analyze trends, and present findings to senior administration.
- Proficiency in People Soft or a comparable student information system is strongly preferred, along with experience using a degree audit system and records/document management systems (e.g., OnBase or comparable platforms). Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, is required.
