Brandeis University is searching for a seasonal admissions reader to join the Graduate Admissions team in a temporary capacity. Reporting to the Assistant Dean, Enrollment Operations & Policy, this role is an extension of the admissions committee and is responsible for thorough and thoughtful application review for master’s degree candidates. The successful hire will have keen attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills, and exemplary reading comprehension with a goal of reading 5-6 applications per hour, or up to 150 applications per week during the busiest review weeks of the year.

The hiring range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/per hour.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review applicants’ completed applications for admission, following programmatic reader review rubrics and adhering to all set deadlines to ensure expediency in decisions
  • Summarize application review and provide recommendations for admissions decisions based on programmatic training guidelines
  • Provide additional insights to ad hoc admissions committee meetings and admissions staff
  • Provide meaningful progress updates on application review completion
Timing

Timing: 25-30 weeks, beginning in October. 18-25 hours per week
