• This is a full-time position. Duties include providing administrative support to the Health Commissioner, coordination of the monthly Board of Health and annual District Advisory Council meetings, taking formal and informal meeting minutes, assisting with document and report preparation, contract management, special projects, and providing backup for the Fiscal Officer. Also serves as the agency-level human resources coordinator, responsible for coordinating staff hiring, onboarding, and offboarding;
  
  coordinating performance evaluations; entering personnel actions; managing personnel policy updates; monitoring leave accruals; and preparing various human resources reports. This position reports directly to the Health Commissioner.

Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of experience; or, Associate degree and four (4) years of experience; or high school diploma or equivalent, and five (5) years’ experience in an office setting or similar environment; or any combination of equivalent education, training, and/or experience. Demonstrates enhanced expertise with the ability to work independently on assigned responsibilities with limited supervision. Assumes broader programmatic responsibility within assigned areas, applying judgment and experience to support program effectiveness and continuous improvement.

May provide guidance and support to less experienced staff and help coordinate program activities. Exercises discretion in decision‑making within established policies and procedures. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license. Required to have regular and predictable attendance.

• Sign‑On Bonus
  - New Employees receive a one‑time $500 sign‑on bonus after completing their 180‑day probationary period. After one year of service, staff will receive an additional $1,000 bonus.

  - All staff receive a bonus on their five‑year anniversaries, ranging from $1,000 to $1,500.
• Attractive Schedule
  - We follow an attractive work schedule of 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with the option of a four‑day (10 hr/day) workweek once the probationary period is complete.
• Remote Work Option
  - This position can work remotely two days a week after the probationary period.

• Vacation
  - Vacation starts at two weeks annually with up to 6 weeks per year at 20 years of service.
• Sick
  - Sick leave accrues at 4.6 hours per 80‑hour pay period, totaling 15 days per year.
• Holiday- CCPH observes thirteen paid holidays.
• Volunteer Time - All staff receive 16 hours of paid leave each year to volunteer locally.
• Personal Leave
  - Full‑time employees earn one personal day per year.
• Parental Leave
  - After one year of employment, employees are eligible for eight weeks of paid leave following the birth or adoption of a child.
• Military Leave
  - National Guard, Defense Corps, Naval Militia, and all U.S. Armed Forces reserve members are authorized up to 176 hours of paid leave per calendar year for training purposes.
