About the Role

Our client, a respected charity focused on social development, is seeking a dedicated Program Assistant to support their impactful work in the George area. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our community programs, providing essential administrative and logistical support. You will work closely with program managers to coordinate activities, manage resources, and communicate with beneficiaries and partners.

This position offers a blend of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility, allowing you to contribute effectively while maintaining a healthy work-life balance, and play a key part in improving the lives of individuals and families in the Western Cape .

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of various social impact programs.
  • Coordinate program logistics, including scheduling meetings, managing participant registration, and preparing materials.
  • Maintain accurate program records and databases, ensuring data integrity.
  • Communicate effectively with program participants, stakeholders, and partner organizations.
  • Provide administrative support, such as drafting correspondence, preparing reports, and managing calendars.
  • Support the fundraising and grant application processes as needed.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in an administrative or program support role, preferably within the non-profit sector .
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and virtual collaboration tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, adapting to a hybrid work model .
  • A genuine passion for social causes and community development.
