Administrative Specialist 3
The Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), Administration and Logistics Unit is seeking an Administrative Specialist 3 to provide critical operational support within the Administration and Logistics Unit. This position serves an organization of more than 400 employees and contractors and plays an important role in supporting the office's day-to-day administrative operations. This position will help ensure continuity, efficiency, and high-quality service across the organization by providing cross-functional support in human resources, finance, and training coordination.
The work requires independent judgment, strong organizational skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, and effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
REMOTE WORK:
The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, in addition to installing a multifactor authentication app on your phone or tablet, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.
- Coordinating recruitment-related administrative activities
- Assisting with purchasing requests and procurement-related administrative processes
- Coordinating training with external vendors and internal staff
- Maintaining training records and tracking completion requirements
- Providing administrative support for unit operations and special projects
- Prioritizing multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Coordinating with a variety of stakeholders across the organization
- Supporting efforts to improve workflow efficiency and operational consistency
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and three years of professional experience, one of which shall be in purchasing, accounts payable, facilities management, operations management, records retention, transcript services, jury management, statistical reporting, investigations and/or library administration.
Substitution:
Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience on a year-for-year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits. An associate degree from an accredited college or university and two years of additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. A master's degree from an accredited college or university may be substituted for one year of experience.
A law degree from an approved American Bar Association law school may be substituted for two years of experience.

A master's degree or a law degree from an accredited college or university, may be used as a substitution, not both.

Driver's License:
Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties of the position.
