The Manager, Campus Living Operations position facilitates the planning and implementation of year-round housing assignment and operational processes for over 7,500 bed spaces. Reporting to the Director for Campus Living Operations, this role manages campus living operations including housing application processes; space allocation, room selection and assignment processes; housing rent and fee billing; summer student housing; front desk operations; and housing report generation and analysis that helps to inform departmental decisions and initiatives.

As part of the Campus Living Operations (CLO) team, the Manager position supervises three full-time Housing Assistant Managers, and helps to implement an effective, intentional and comprehensive operational plan for students living in the Campus Living Communities.

70% - CAMPUS LIVING OPERATIONS AND OCCUPANCY MANAGEMENT

• Manage complex room selection, assignment and billing processes utilizing Star Rez housing software system, People Soft (LOUIE) and Enterprise Reporting systems for campus living communities housing over 7,500 students.
• Work extensively with Star Rez housing information system for space type, usage, capacity, allocation, online room selection process and reporting.
• Help to facilitate the annual assignment of over 10,000 – 15,000 room selection times and 20+ room selection processes.
• Design and implement student housing occupancy timelines, details and set-up for each application/room selection process including academic year, spring-only, summer and downtime housing including staffing assignments, training and communication.
• Contribute to the occupancy plan according to date-dependent schedules, internal/external partner requests and conference services needs.
• Track functional use of space to ensure timely and accurate audits with minimal effort that capture maximum occupancy.
• Manage specific process details related to focused-housing.
• Coordinate planning for special group housing processes with campus partners.
• Manage the community/room transfer request and reassignment process, including communication with campus living staff and students on related needs.
• Manage processes including the charging and collection of housing rent confirmation payments (HRCP), rent charges, cancellations, petitions for license agreement release, and collaborative work with Disability Resources to manage housing accommodations.
• Manage early check-in and late check-out process and communication for each semester.
• Coordinate timelines and details for check-in/out processes, housing eligibility, including class registration and rent payment requirements and related correspondence with current and future residents.
• Identify influencing factors within occupancy management and communicate trends to department leadership; analyze, interpret and share pertinent data and trends.
