Precision Collective is seeking an experienced Retirement and Benefits Counselor to provide retirement and benefits counseling support to Department of the Navy civilian personnel. This is a part-time position focused on counseling under the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) and the Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS).

The successful candidate will be a senior professional with a strong understanding of Department of War and Department of the Navy retirement systems, including both current and legacy programs. This role is ideal for someone with proven experience reviewing service computation and retirement eligibility, briefing Navy civilian personnel, and providing clear, accurate counseling on federal retirement and benefits topics.

• Counsel government civilians on retirement eligibility, service computation, and the preparation and submission of retirement packages.
• Provide guidance on Federal Employees’ Health Benefits (FEHB), the Affordable Care Act (ACA), and Medicare.
• Advise employees on Federal Employees’ Group Life Insurance (FEGLI), the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP), Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), the Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP), and Long Term Care (LTC) options.
• Counsel employees on Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS), CSRS-Offset, and Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) benefits.
• Provide information and support related to Social Security and death benefits.
• Brief Department of the Navy civilian personnel on retirement and benefits topics.
• Review total time in service and related documentation to support accurate retirement counseling.
• Prepare written materials, briefings, and employee communications related to retirement and benefits.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree and relevant professional experience; equivalent military or professional experience may be considered.
• Demonstrated experience managing or counseling on retirement and benefits programs for the Department of War and/or Department of the Navy.
• Strong understanding of federal benefits programs and government civilian personnel environments.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint).

U.S. Citizenship required.

This is a part-time position that is primarily remote, with minimal travel in the Washington, D.C. commuting area.
