The American Heart Association's Internship Program provides college students an opportunity for hands‑on experience in various facets for individuals interested in gaining work experience with a non‑profit, voluntary health organization.
The work the American Heart Association's Global Corporate Relations (NCR) team does is integral to the American Heart Association. The NCR Operations team works diligently to find creative and informative solutions to support the NCR team. The NCR team is seeking an intern with a passion for project management and helping others through efficiency. Ideal candidates will be creative, possess graphic design skills, excel in written communication, and have strong attention to detail.

InternshipOverview
- Time Commitment: 20-25 hours per week

Projects and
Responsibilities Include:
- Assist with the end‑to‑end contracting process: prepare contract templates, gather required attachments, route documents for review, and track approval status.
- Support Contract Repository maintenance - file executed agreements and update contract data.
- Perform basic invoice processing tasks: verify coding, and prepare documents for Finance review.
- Help reconcile small budget line items and assist with monthly expense tracking and simple reporting.
- Enter and maintain accurate data in Smartsheet/Salesforce/Excel (or other team systems): contacts, contract statuses, revenue/expense entries, and event registrant info.
- Respond to internal requests for documentation, archive retrieval, and contract copies in a timely manner.
- Participate in process improvement discussions and help pilot small automation or tracking enhancements.
- Provide general administrative support as needed (scheduling meetings, taking notes, preparing meeting materials).
- Candidates who are seniors or graduate students pursuing a degree in business, non profit management, or a health administration degree program.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with Smartsheet, Salesforce, or similar CRMs is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; professional and responsive when interacting with vendors and internal stakeholders.
