Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Health Services Specialist to provide administrative support to Care Coordinators within a healthcare environment. This role is ideal for candidates with strong organizational skills, administrative experience, and a customer service mindset. The position focuses on maintaining accurate member records, supporting eligibility processes, and ensuring timely completion of critical care coordination activities.
Key Responsibilities
+ Enter assessment information into the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) to support eligibility determinations.
+ Process and maintain authorization entries and member-related documentation.
+ Update staff locations and assignments within care management systems for new enrollments.
+ Manage member records, including contact updates and group number changes.
+ Support member mail management and administrative workflows for Care Coordination teams.
+ Submit and track assigned activities within care management platforms.
+ Communicate effectively with internal care coordination staff regarding member information, authorizations, and administrative requests.
+ Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness when handling sensitive member data.
Required Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Minimum of 2 years of related administrative experience.
+ Experience completing administrative and data entry tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
+ Excellent customer service and communication skills.
+ Proficiency with data entry and information management processes.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience working within a healthcare organization, health plan, or managed care environment.
+ Knowledge of health insurance eligibility processes.
+ Familiarity with medical terminology.
+ Experience supporting care coordination or case management teams.

Compensation
+ $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
+ 4-month contract assignment
+ Overtime eligible at 1.5x pay rate when approved

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
