Choral Art seeks an organized, resourceful, and hospitality-minded Chorus & Operations Manager to support the people that make our rehearsals, performances, and programs possible.
Reporting to the Administrative Director and working closely with the Music Director, the Chorus Operations Manager serves as an important point of connection among Choral Art’s singers, staff, volunteers, venues, and community partners. The ideal candidate combines strong administrative skills with a welcoming, service-oriented approach and takes pride in anticipating needs, solving problems, and creating a smooth experience for others.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Chorus & Member Administration- Maintain member rosters, registration, attendance records, schedules, and resources.
- Coordinate annual registration, new-member onboarding, and routine communications.
- Respond to member questions and connect singers with the appropriate staff or resources.
- Coordinate audition scheduling, materials, and logistics.
- Maintain and communicate rehearsal, performance, and event schedules.
- Prepare and distribute call times, schedules, rosters, and logistical instructions.
- Recruit and coordinate ushers, box office volunteers, and other event volunteers.
- Attend rehearsals, performances, and events as needed, anticipating needs and helping ensure a welcoming, well-run experience.
- Manage ticket sales online and by phone.
- Monitor Choral Art’s general email and phone line and respond to or route inquiries.
- Maintain calendars, forms, files, operational checklists, and assigned website content.
- Coordinate volunteers and provide administrative support to staff and board committees.
- Maintain clear documentation of recurring responsibilities and support other organizational projects as assigned.
- Excellent organization, communication, time-management, and follow-through.
- A warm, professional, hospitality-minded approach to working with singers, volunteers, audiences, and partners.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to anticipate needs and communicate issues proactively.
- Comfort working independently and managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, email, spreadsheets, shared calendars, databases, and other online systems, with the ability to learn new technology.
- Availability for evening and weekend rehearsals, concerts, and events as needed.
- Experience in nonprofit administration, performing arts, event coordination, hospitality, or a related field preferred.
- College degree preferred.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and home-office capability.
This is a year-round, part-time position averaging 8–10 hours per week
, with hours fluctuating around auditions, rehearsal cycles, performances, and special events. Administrative work is primarily remote, with in-person attendance required for designated Choral Art rehearsals, concerts, and events.
