Pay Range
Pay Range $21.92 - $24.04 per hour

Job Description
The Operations Specialist for Admissions and Systems is the key operations partner for the Office of Recruiting and Admissions in the College of Visual and Performing Arts ( VPA ) Dean’s Office at Syracuse University. In this role, you will administer the Slate admissions CRM , keep applications and awards for new and returning graduate students moving on schedule, and help bring prospective students into the VPA community.
You will manage portfolio review and audition scheduling, work with VPA faculty and leaders on the admissions process, and use data to show how recruiting events and initiatives are performing. You will also support recruiting activities on and off campus and serve as a welcoming first point of contact for prospective students and families.
This position reports to the Assistant Dean of Enrollment and is a great fit for someone who enjoys combining systems, data, and people. If you have experience in higher education admissions or enrollment, or experience working with CRM or database systems and an interest in the arts, we encourage you to apply.

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in arts administration, business, management, information systems, or related field preferred with at least 2 years of experience in an office setting with data and systems management responsibilities; specific admissions experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Skills and Knowledge
- At least 2 years’ experience working in an office setting, preferably within higher education admissions or enrollment.
- Previous experience or expertise in systems administration, preferably CRM and or admissions software (Slate preferred).
- Superior attention to detail and deadlines, foresight, and excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface with students, families, faculty, and others in a highly professional manner.
- Previous experience with data management, with experience in synthesizing data and producing effective reports and analysis.
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and always maintain mature judgment and confidentiality.
