HII, Mission Technologies is looking for a motivated individual to fill the role of Technician 1 for their Syracuse, NY Manufacturing Operations. In this role, you will perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies. You will also support the daily activities of the production line and/or processing areas and help build long-term capability within the Manufacturing Organization.
What you will be doing- General mechanical assembly and installation of electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies as required.
- Work with other team members in assembly and integration of new and existing products.
- Deliver work according to quality requirements and work instructions.
- Adhere to processes and procedures to meet business and program objectives.
- Analyzing and identifying opportunities for process improvements
- Identify and resolve tasks independently.
- Understand and apply ESD principles and safeguarding requirements.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds.
- General use hand tools such as torque wrenches, wire cutters, strippers & crimpers.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 0-2 years related manufacturing experience.
- Ability to read and understand assembly drawings, part lists, connection diagrams, schematics, engineering sketches.
- Must be familiar with hand tools such as torque wrenches, wire cutters, strippers & crimpers.
- Ability to work with standardized procedures for high repeatability in an advanced and connected environment.
- Ability to obtain IPC-610, IPC-620, and IPC-J-STD-001 certifications.
- Self-motivated and driven desire to succeed with minimal direction.
- Ability to work both in a team and individually.
- Must be a US Citizen. May be required to obtain a DoD secret level clearance.
- May require working in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level. May encounter extremes of temperature, pollution, humidity, noise, and other environmental factors while collecting data, observing performance of task teams.
