Job Summary
Auto Maintenance Tech I – Manheim (a Cox Automotive company) performs repairs and maintenance on a variety of vehicles. The role requires working at a specified Cox location with a day shift schedule and does not offer remote work.
Compensation is hourly, ranging from $20.10 to $30.10 per hour, with potential additional earnings from commission or incentive programs.
Responsibilities- Gain familiarity with auto maintenance concepts and practices.
- Perform auto‑maintenance duties such as oil and filter changes, fuel filter changes, transmission flushes, spark plug replacement, and vehicle inspections.
- Conduct battery testing, maintenance, replacement, and repair of starting and charging electrical systems.
- Execute a variety of repairs, including tire service, safety inspections, and interior/exterior component work.
- Diagnose and repair brake systems, steering, and suspension systems.
- Replicate and recharge the AC system as needed.
- Maintain equipment and use approved vendors to obtain parts.
- Upsell and fit new vehicles with necessary equipment.
- Comply with all applicable procedures and regulations regarding recyclables, fluids, tires, and disposal of trash.
- Required: One or more years of related work experience; ability to operate standard, automatic, and electric vehicles; valid driver’s license.
- Preferred: High school diploma or GED.
- Current ASE
Certifications:
G1, A4, A5 status when required by leadership.
