Tire Technician Full Time

Become part of the BJ’s Wholesale Club Tire Team and help customers with tire selection, installation, and service while upholding club standards.

Responsible for assisting members in the selection and purchase of tires, properly installing and repairing tires, completing necessary tire bay documentation, and maintaining tire bay policies and procedures.

• Mount, dismount, rotate, and balance tires and dispose of tires in accordance with club policy.
• Fill propane tanks, coordinate with Home Office for member tire needs, and provide knowledgeable service at the tire desk.
• Maintain a clean and professional tire bay, waiting area, merchandise displays, and automotive product inventory.
• Complete tire bay scheduling data, documentation, and all club policies and procedures.
• Assist members with tire selection, verify vehicle sizes, and schedule appointments.
• Use special‑order tire programs as needed and keep inventory accurate.
• Perform duties in other departments as assigned and maintain regular, full attendance.

• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn basic computer skills.
• Prior tire installation experience preferred.
• Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire.
• Ability to lift over 30 pounds with assistance.

Exposure to indoor and outdoor temperatures; frequent standing, bending, climbing, kneeling, and lifting up to 30 pounds. Work often involves moving cars, machinery, and loud equipment, requiring shouting to be heard. Occasional exposure to approved chemicals and cleaning agents.

The starting pay range for this position is $17.50 per hour, with actual salaries varying by location, education, experience, and qualifications.
