Business Process Analyst
Zurich North America is hiring a Business Process Analyst to join our team! We are seeking talent with an office presence 3 days a week at our Schaumburg Headquarters.
Key responsibilities include understanding business goals, analyzing current and future state processes, facilitating the elicitation of high‑level business requirements, and collaborating with business & technical teams to deliver solutions. The analyst will maintain and enhance tools such as SharePoint, Power
BI dashboards, workflows, and VBA scripts, applying diverse delivery approaches (Waterfall, SCRUM, Zurich Lean) in line with the Zurich Project Management Framework and Risk Policy.
- Provide expertise on as‑is/to‑be models for process, data, workflow, and application requirements to stakeholders.
- Adapt delivery methodologies (SCRUM, Waterfall, Zurich Lean) to the specific project.
- Plan, conduct, and facilitate elicitation sessions and ensure deliverables are met.
- Understand customer objectives, processes, and products to make tailored recommendations.
- Collaborate with project managers to build business cases, including cost/benefit analysis, risk assessment, scope, and high‑level plans.
- Produce requirement specifications and solution design documents throughout the project lifecycle, incorporating change requests and finalizing documentation.
- Participate in post‑implementation activities, including problem solving and benefit measurement, and root‑cause analysis when benefits are not achieved.
- Provide technical expertise to build and maintain SharePoint sites with workflow automation, Power
BI dashboards, and complex Excel workbooks. - Communicate effectively through various mediums at all organizational levels.
- Bachelor’s Degree and 6+ years of experience in Information Technology.
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 8+ years of experience in Information Technology.
- Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and 6+ years of I.T. experience.
- Leading business requirements sessions and work streams.
- Process engineering knowledge and ability to develop current‑state workflows via Visio or equivalent, using critical thinking and problem‑solving skills for optimization recommendations.
- Core process redesign and continuous improvement experience.
- Business systems integration knowledge.
- Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP).
- Lean/Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt certification.
- Experience in a key analytical role on large and complex enterprise projects.
- Consulting experience.
- Knowledge of insurance industry business processes and processing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel and intermediate PowerPoint skills.
- Power
BI experience. - SharePoint workflow development experience.
- Experience with agile methodology.
- Strong business‑process analytical skills and ability to see the big picture.
- Experience eliciting business requirements through research, interviews, group sessions, and application analysis.
- Ability to extract and communicate business needs, goals, and requirements, and resolve questions for the project team and business group.
- Foster collaboration and communication using low‑fidelity, lean approaches such as white‑boarding.
- Manage workload across multiple initiatives.
- Facilitate customer meetings with off‑site participants using various communication tools.
- Document requirements clearly and thoroughly.

Salary range: $94,100 – $154,000. Short‑term incentive bonus eligibility: 15%.
