Kilpatrick, a large international law firm, is seeking a Marketing and Business Development Coordinator for our Marketing Department in our Chicago office. This position will work alongside attorneys, paralegals and support staff, providing a high level of service to both internal and external clients.

Essential Job Functions- Serve as the primary contact for basic collateral requests, including proposals, PowerPoint presentations, brochures, etc.
- Handle basic creative requests such as reusable ads for events and sponsor ships, coordinating with the Creative Services Manager for customizations.
- Assist with collateral and invitation development and distribution for events such as trade shows, seminars, webinars, and internal retreats.
- Manage the development of proposals and customized presentations: retrieve existing information, manage new inputs from multiple attorneys, format, bind, and ensure proper shipping by the Mail Center.
- Identify and capture department‑specific experience and knowledge (proposals, cases, skills), manage email lists in the CRM, and maintain events in the master Marketing calendar.
- Perform target client and practice area research and analysis to support business development activities.
- Maintain databases of firm expertise using web and database‑driven technologies (proposal generation, CRM, website administration, event management tools).
- Coordinate multiple resources and inputs from various firm departments and outside agencies to complete activities.
- Provide thorough and timely reporting to the aligned Manager to track execution, effectiveness, and ROI.
- Participate in regular Marketing Team discussions to facilitate cross‑department knowledge sharing and identify best practices; perform other selected projects as needed.
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field.
- At least 2 years of professional services or B2B marketing experience (preferred with Big 4 accounting background, law firms, consulting firms, or agency experience).
- Experience with collateral and proposal management.
- Excellent writing, communication, and follow‑up skills.
- Strong computer skills, including advanced knowledge of MS Office, CRM systems, document management, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Ability to work in a team environment, pulling resources across service lines to support business development (cross‑selling, up‑selling).
- Excellent planning, detail orientation, and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines with flexibility for shifting demands.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and be action‑ and results‑oriented.
- Willingness to gain in‑depth knowledge of legal matters through continuous learning.
This is a full‑time, regular position with a comprehensive health benefit package including medical, dental, and vision. The firm also offers life insurance, short‑term disability, retirement plans, holidays, and paid time off. Hybrid work schedules combine in‑office and remote work days.
Pay range in Chicago: $30.43 to $45.60 per hour.
