This 12-month contract role offers hybrid working arrangements, primarily from the Vancity head office with a Lower Mainland home office, and may require in-office work at least once a week.
As a Product Manager, Visa, you’ll establish a comprehensive catalogue of solutions that deliver on both member desirability and financial ROI for Vancity. You’ll be assigned a portfolio and manage the end-to-end product management lifecycle to ensure member satisfaction.
You will typically be responsible for- Setting a product vision and defining a product strategy.
- Driving the execution of all product lifecycle processes, including research, planning, positioning, roadmap development, product design, requirements development, product launch, rationalization, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborating with the broader IT Solutions team to prioritize roadmaps and guide new solutions through the product lifecycle to ensure alignment with needs of the organization, members, and employees.
- Collaborating with business readiness teams on the development and release of products and services for both members and employees.
- Partnering with Marketing and Communications to develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates Vancity across primary market segments.
- Partnering with Change Management teams to ensure employees are prepared to adopt, use, and promote new products and services.
- Developing expertise within the assigned portfolio and supporting other portfolios as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in product management, preferably within banking/financial institutions and the payments sector.
- Knowledge of business and financial concepts, regulatory requirements and product lifecycle management within the financial services industry.
- Experience managing all aspects of a product throughout its lifecycle.
- Experience with Azure Dev Ops (ADO) is a nice to have.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies.
- Certifications such as Scrum or SAFe are a bonus.
- Extensive experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and driving alignment between teams.
- Organized – you can prioritize projects, optimize resources, develop business cases and project plans, and manage the full product lifecycle through all phases.
- A problem solver – you diagnose and mitigate challenges, issues, and risks, and capitalize on opportunities.
- A strong communicator – you collaborate with stakeholders across the organization and externally, communicate progress, manage expectations, and mitigate risks.
- Analytical – you use research and analysis to assess opportunities and risks based on trends.

The salary range for this role is $81,200 to $122,000 annually. Base pay may vary based on qualifications, skills, experience, and internal equity. Employees may be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
