Located at 19295 25 Ave, Surrey, BC V3Z 3X1 this full-time permanent position, Monday to Friday with a flexible start time between 6:00AM-9:00AM. Following a 3-month probationary period, at management discretion, the candidate may be eligible to work hybrid with up to 2 days per week worked remotely from an approved home office environment.
Why this role mattersThe Business Partner plays a critical role in enabling EB Horsman’s strategic direction by ensuring organizational plans and projects are clearly defined, aligned, and successfully executed. As a key member of the Projects & Planning team, this role supports strategic and business planning initiatives, project coordination, and organizational change by connecting leaders, teams, and priorities across the business.
This position translates strategy into actionable plans, strengthens cross-functional collaboration, and ensures projects and change initiatives are well supported, clearly communicated, and aligned with organizational objectives — helping EB Horsman operate more effectively, efficiently, and cohesively.
What To Expect InThe Role Strategic & Business Planning Support
- Partner with executives and department leaders to support the development, refresh, and execution of strategic and business plans, including annual and quarterly planning cycles.
- Facilitate collaborative planning sessions and ensure alignment between organizational goals, departmental priorities, and project portfolios.
- Initiate and manage monthly update meetings with champions to support successful business outcomes.
- Support the initiation, planning, and coordination of projects across the organization, ensuring alignment with strategic and business objectives.
- Work closely with project sponsors, champions, and stakeholders to define scopes, business requirements, risks, vendor communications, deliverables, project plans, budgets, change management activities, and communications.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project activities are organized, milestones are communicated, and deliverables are achieved.
- Monitor progress, support issue resolution, manage escalation paths, and contribute to risk mitigation efforts.
- Develop clear and effective communications related to planning initiatives, projects, and organizational change.
- Support training, process mapping, and change management initiatives to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and systems.
- Foster strong relationships across teams to promote alignment, early issue detection, and collaborative problem solving.
- Champion organizational standards, governance processes, and project management best practices.
- 5+ years of experience in strategic planning, business analysis, project management, process mapping, change management, and corporate communications.
- Degree or certification in Business, Commerce, Technology, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable managing cross-functional calendars, meetings, agendas, and action items.
- Able to navigate ambiguity and bring clarity to complex initiatives.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and presentation skills with the ability to synthesize complex information.
- Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
- Passionate about aligning people, processes, and projects to enable organizational success.
- Familiarity with software evaluation and selection is considered an asset.
