Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Sales to lead the strategic sales efforts for Cabot Cape Breton. Based out of Toronto, this role will be responsible for driving revenue across all segments—including resort accommodations, events, golf tournaments, local partnerships, tour operator relationships—while elevating the property's brand presence and guest experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Strategy & Execution
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales plans to achieve revenue targets across golf, hospitality, and events.
  • Identify new business opportunities and cultivate relationships with key accounts, tour operators, golf pros, corporate clients, and event organizers.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the Reservations team to exceed performance goals.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Revenue Management
  • Collaborate with home office marketing teams to optimize promotions, and packages.
  • Define revenue management and pricing strategy for the property maintaining the brand’s positioning.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Customer Relations
  • Serve as the face of the property for high-value clients and strategic partners.
  • Collaborate with property operations team to ensure exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction throughout the sales cycle.
  • Oversee sales for tournaments, corporate retreats, and social events.
  • Partner with operations to ensure seamless execution and guest experience.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in golf, hospitality, or luxury resort environments.
  • Proven track record of exceeding revenue goals and building high-performing teams.
  • Strong understanding of golf operations, hospitality trends, and event sales.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
