What you’ll doThe Head of Commercial will lead the commercial engine of Dubai Mall Online — a first-of-its-kind digital marketplace extending one of the world’s most iconic retail destinations into the online world. This role sits at the core of building and scaling a complex, multi-retailer platform. You will own the commercial strategy, revenue performance, and retailer ecosystem, with accountability for GMV growth, margin structure, assortment strategy, and long-term marketplace health.
As Head of Commercial, you will design and scale the retailer model end to end — from defining the brand value proposition and commercial constructs, to onboarding marquee partners, improving retailer performance, and productizing commercial flows to enable scale. You will work closely with product, engineering, and operations to translate commercial requirements into scalable platform capabilities.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in fashion-led ecommerce or marketplaces, understands marketplace economics and unit metrics, and has successfully grown retailer ecosystems through data-driven decision making, strong execution, and operational discipline.
Key Responsibilities- Own the end-to-end commercial strategy for Dubai Mall Online, including GMV growth, margin structure, and marketplace economics
- Define and execute the retailer acquisition strategy, prioritizing marquee brands and scalable assortment growth
- Build and manage the full retailer lifecycle: acquisition, onboarding, launch, performance management, and retention
- Design scalable commercial models and incentives to drive sustainable growth
- Drive retailer performance through data-driven insights and continuous optimization
- Partner with Product and Engineering to productize commercial flows, tooling, and self-serve capabilities for scale
- Translate commercial needs into platform features such as onboarding flows, pricing tools, promotions, and analytics dashboards
