Overview

When you join SBI as an Engagement Manager, Pricing, you are joining a firm that is at the forefront of driving innovative go-to-market transformations, helping clients solve their revenue growth and pricing challenges.

The Engagement Manager, Pricing, is responsible for the day-to-day execution of client projects as part of a broader engagement team. The Engagement Manager, Pricing will make important contributions to the client engagement by leading discovery efforts, generating thorough analysis, producing high-quality deliverables, and leading the client through the implementation of the solution. You will establish yourself as a revenue growth expert, providing insights that will result in transformational growth opportunities for our clients.

In this role, you will also apply your expertise in pricing strategy to help clients optimize their pricing models and revenue generation approaches. You will analyze current pricing structures, benchmark against industry standards, and recommend pricing strategies that maximize profitability while remaining competitive in the market. This aspect of the role requires a deep understanding of value-based pricing, competitive pricing, and pricing optimization techniques.

You will work on-site at the client’s locations and remote from your home office, reporting to an SBI Director. Your goal will be to ensure that our work is of the highest quality, and is delivered on-time, to the satisfaction of the client.

Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day execution of client projects as part of a broader engagement team, including discovery efforts, thorough analysis, and high-quality deliverables.
  • Lead the client through the implementation of the pricing solution and drive transformational growth opportunities for clients.
  • Apply pricing strategy expertise to help clients optimize pricing models and revenue generation approaches, including value-based pricing, competitive pricing, and pricing optimization techniques.
  • Analyze current pricing structures, benchmark against industry standards, and recommend pricing strategies that maximize profitability while remaining competitive.
  • Work on-site at client locations and remotely from home office; ensure on-time delivery and client satisfaction.
Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 8 years of experience with at least 2 years of experience in Management Consulting and at least 5 years of pricing strategy experience.

The ideal candidate will have a mix of industry and professional services experience, including:

  • Some experience in a variety of the following categories: a top-tier management consulting firm, private equity firm, or large enterprise clients.
  • Functional experience in Revenue Operations, Sales Strategy, Marketing, Customer Success, and Pricing Strategy.
  • Expertise in developing and implementing pricing strategies, including value-based pricing, competitive pricing, and dynamic pricing models.
  • Experience in the C-Suite or with VP-level executives, especially CROs, VP-Sales, CMO, VP-Marketing.
  • Experience communicating complex ideas effectively to executive audiences.
  • Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization, including the Board of Directors, utilizing executive-level written, verbal, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated success delivering complex, cross-functional projects.
  • Solid functional knowledge, within SBI’s Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), including but not limited to strategy, business development, product development, project management, marketing, sales, and pricing optimization.
  • MBA from a top business school.
  • Candidates must have the ability to travel at least 20% - 40% of the time.
