Position Overview

POSITION OVERVIEW

Join our Sovereign Brand family as a dedicated HR Generalist! In this impactful role, you will manage the essential operations that keep the Sovereign Brand team moving forward. This is a hands‑on position where you will balance high‑accuracy tasks (semi‑monthly payroll and financial reconciliation, etc) with the interpersonal side of HR, serving as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries.

You will work under established guidelines while being encouraged to help us refine our reporting and communication processes.

This role is on‑site in Highland Park, IL five days a week.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Payroll Administration: Manage the semi‑monthly payroll cycle with high attention to detail. Act as the primary point person for routine payroll inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
  • Onboarding & Lifecycle Management: Coordinate the administrative side of the employee experience.
  • Data Integrity & Reporting: Prepare, maintain, and distribute HR records, statistics, and reports. Assist in analyzing workflows to help develop or revise more efficient reporting methods.
  • Policy Support: Assist in implementing and communicating HR programs and policies.
  • Vendor & Financial Oversight: Interface with external service providers and vendors as assigned performing monthly reconciliation of insurance statements and other program billing (such as Motus) to ensure account accuracy.
  • Operational Support: Support various HR functions—including compensation, training, and performance management projects.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree (i.e. Business Management, Psychology) preferred.
  • 3+ years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to administer routine programs.
  • Basic knowledge of human resources policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Strong prioritization, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work in team or independently.
  • Business maturity; understanding the need for confidentiality and discretion.
  • Close attention to detail and the ability to manage several projects and deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, MS Word and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now preferred.

The base compensation for the position is: $70,000-$80,000
