Main InterfacesReports to the Sales Director - Quebec, supports and has regular interaction with all functions but primarily interacts with the Sales Director team and Trade Marketing Manager – Quebec. a detail-oriented and business-minded Sales Analyst to support our sales team by providing insights, reporting, and strategic recommendations that drive growth in a highly competitive market.
Key Purpose StatementInternational premium brands are built via high quality, premium experiences. Quality, premiuem execution of our brands in both retail and on-premise is therefore a key growth driver of our business in Quebec. The Sales analyst – Retail is detail-oriented and business-minded tasked to support our sales team by providing insights, reporting, and strategic recommendations that drive growth in a highly competitive market.
Our products are sold across Quebec through a distribution partner.
- Track, consolidate, and analyze sales data across retail (grocery, convenience, big box, etc.) channel.
- Monitor distributor performance against sales targets, budgets, and promotional objectives.
- Produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports with actionable insights for management.
- Identify sales trends, gaps, and opportunities by customer, channel, and brand.
- Act as a liaison between the company and the distributor for data requests, sales tracking, and performance reviews.
- Support distributor teams with clear sales objectives, promotional tracking, and execution scorecards.
- Monitor retail compliance on shelf placement, pricing, and promotional programs.
- Review and analyze the monthly financial package received from the distributor, including sales, margins, pricing, and deductions.
- Validate financial data accuracy, highlight variances versus plan, and escape discrepancies when needed.
- Provide monthly financial performance summaries and recommendations to management to support decision-making.
- Support demand planning by providing historical sales data, market insights, and distributor feedback.
- Assist in the development of annual sales plans and promotional calendars.
- Track ROI of trade marketing programs and promotions in collaboration with the distributor.
- Monitor market trends, consumer behaviors, and competitor activity using available data sources (Nielsen, distributor reports, etc.).
- Provide recommendations to strengthen brand visibility and positioning in Quebec.
- University graduate, preferably in Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in sales analysis, business intelligence, or a similar role (CPG or beverage industry preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) is an asset.
- Knowledge of Quebec retail channel, particularly in the beer or beverage alcohol industry.
- Bilingual (French and English) – written and spoken.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners (distributor, retailers).
- In-Field / Partner Management - 20% of time
- Travel within Quebec, primarily in the GMA
- Based in Montreal (home office and Montreal office)
