This is a fully remote position.

What You’ll Do
  • Conduct agency audits of title and escrow operations, including file reviews, disbursement procedures, and underwriting practices.
  • Focus primarily on Enterprise (national) agencies, multi-state agencies, and select state agencies.
  • Lead audits for agencies with larger risk liabilities due to multi-state operations or elevated past audit ratings.
  • Evaluate compliance with ALTA Best Practices, state regulations, and company policies.
  • Identify process inefficiencies, control weaknesses, and areas of potential risk.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports with actionable recommendations and issue reports to Management with proper distribution.
  • Complete all required statutory audits, prepare related reports, and submit them to regulatory departments.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop the audit schedule.
  • Stay current on changes in title insurance laws, escrow regulations, and industry standards.
  • Work with legal, compliance, and operations teams to ensure readiness for regulatory audits.
  • Monitor corrective action implementation and follow up on outstanding issues when assigned.
  • Support the development of Agency Operations initiatives, including audit programs and compliance monitoring tools.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including mandatory compliance training.
  • Maintain dependable attendance during scheduled or core business hours, Monday through Friday.
  • Travel overnight by air or automobile as required—sometimes for multiple nights—for onsite audits driven by regulatory or complexity needs.
  • Represent the company with professional dress, demeanor, and appearance.
Who You Are
  • An experienced title industry professional with a minimum of 10 years in the field.
  • Skilled in oral and written communication, with excellent verbal, interpersonal, and customer service abilities.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
  • Experienced in auditing multi-state agencies (preferred).
  • Professionally certified (CPA, CIA, CFE, etc.)—a plus.
  • Able to work under pressure, adapt to disruptions, and accept supervision, direction, and constructive feedback.
  • Someone who handles confidential and sensitive information with integrity.
  • In possession of a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
  • Courteous, flexible, proactive, and committed to high-caliber professionalism.
