Job SummaryWe empower our product teams to solve hard problems in ways that our operators love and that work for our business. We are looking for a Product Manager to lead the allergen strategy for Menu Works, Compass Group’s enterprise menu management and culinary planning platform. The ideal candidate is a systems thinker who can turn complex data and business needs into clear, actionable product plans.
You are comfortable collaborating with end users, diving into technical discussions with engineers, producing thoughtful analysis, and presenting to a wide range of stakeholders. Success in this role requires building solutions that are both valuable and viable, contributing knowledge of business constraints, developing deep insights into our users and how they engage with Menu Works, and consistently driving innovation with your passion and ideas.
You will influence your teammates, stakeholders, and key executives through your use of data, logic, and strong product judgment.
- Define product direction, prioritize, and manage features and key results that will deliver on business objectives and user needs.
- Lead discovery and design of tools for ingredient management and allergen reporting.
- Break down complex, high‑level initiatives into clear functional requirements based on analytics and customer insights.
- Develop relationships and collaborate with business, engineering, and design teams to ensure features are valuable, usable, feasible, and viable for the business.
- Collaborate with delivery teams to support successful launches by aligning on outcomes, timelines, and dependencies from concept through deployment.
- Ensure application functionality is compliant with USDA, FDA, and allergen standards.
- Use data and feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated understanding of the techniques and methods of modern product discovery and product delivery.
- 3 years working on technology‑powered products (B2B SaaS or food service tech preferred).
- Experience in food systems/management preferred, but not required (e.g., nutrition regulation, supply chain, menu planning, or food service).
- Proactive learner with a strong desire to contribute to Menu Works' growth while developing expertise in ingredient and allergen management.
- Demonstrated ability to figure out solutions to hard problems with many constraints, using sound judgment to assess risks, and to present your argument in a well‑structured, data‑informed, written narrative.
