Senior Business Continuity Analyst

Responsibilities:
• Facilitate day‑to‑day BCM activities for assigned operations processes.
• Develop, review, and update Business Impact Analyses (BIAs) to reflect process criticality, dependencies, and recovery requirements.
• Build and maintain Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) aligned to updated BIAs, including contingency strategies, roles, and communication protocols.
• Lead testing exercises such as simulations, tabletop, alternate site, and notification drills.
• Coordinate test planning and logistics, ensuring objectives are achieved and lessons learned are incorporated into plan updates.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and audit-ready BCM documentation in the governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) system.
• Execute required approvals for BIAs, BCPs, and test records.
• Coach and advise plan/process owners on BCM standards, tools, and timelines.
• Monitor potential trigger events and ensure timely updates to relevant plans and analyses.
• Serve as a subject matter resource for BCM lifecycle execution and operational resilience practices.
What you will need to succeed:
• Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience.
• Industry certification in operational risk or resilience (e.g., ABCP, MBCI) preferred.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in business continuity or operational risk.
• Proven ability to independently manage BCM activities and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret operational data and recovery requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience facilitating workshops and testing exercises.
• Ability to work with ambiguity and apply judgment within governance frameworks.
• Effective stakeholder management skills, including influencing without authority.
• Experience coordinating and leading BCM testing scenarios.
• Strong documentation discipline and attention to detail.
• Comfort with GRC systems and business continuity tools.
• Exposure to OSFI E-21 or similar regulatory frameworks is an asset.
