Job Description & How to Apply Below

The National Fluid Power Association (NFPA) is a trade association with approximately 300 member companies involved in the manufacture and distribution of hydraulic and pneumatic products and systems.

NFPA is seeking a professional who will gather and report industry data, assist member companies in understanding and using data sources for their decision-making needs, and develop analyses for use by member companies using multiple economic and other data sources.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working with member companies and service providers to aggregate data, maintain data integrity, and produce reports on industry indicators that member companies can use for decision-making.
  • Assisting members in understanding and using NFPA data and other data sources, as well as NFPA’s online and AI-assisted statistical tools, for data analysis.
  • Working with external vendors to source market and forecast information, and to make these reports available to members.
  • Working with a team to plan, promote and carry out an annual Industry & Economic Outlook Conference, as well as periodic economic forecast webinars.
  • Assisting in promoting NFPA economic and statistical resources and programs to members and potential members of NFPA.

Successful candidates will be creative self-starters with an inclusive mindset and the ability to produce results with tight time frames. Qualified individuals will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • One to three years of experience in a similar capacity.
  • Proven communication and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to operate independently, identifying opportunities, setting direction, and taking ownership of projects from concept to execution.
  • Ability to drive progress in ambiguous environments with evolving priorities, using critical thinking to shape outcomes.
  • High comfort level in “selling” and promoting NFPA’s programs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, as well as familiarity with online and AI-assisted data analysis and visualization tools.

Some travel is required.

NFPA offers an upbeat work environment, flexible work schedule (including work from anywhere days), full benefits, and competitive compensation.
