Our office located in Lincoln, RI is seeking a Product Development Intern to join the team for Summer 2026! As part of our team, you will gain hands-on experience in the project management field by working with team members on various projects.
The Product Development Intern will support early stage discovery and research initiatives in the exploration of new insurance products and features that address customer need and are aligned to business objectives. This role is ideal for an undergraduate college student who is curious, analytical, and eager to learn how insurance products are designed, evaluated, and positioned in the marketplace. The intern will assist with consumer and market research, competitive analysis, product performance evaluation, and development of presentations and written summaries.
The role will make significant use of Generative AI tools to accelerate research, synthesis, and insight generation.
This position is a 37.5-hour work week Monday through Friday during the summer months. Work from home may be available two days a week once trained to work independently.

Responsibilities:
* Conduct consumer, competitor, and general marketplace research to support early stage discovery efforts.
* Analyze competitor product positioning, marketing materials, and website experiences to identify trends and opportunities.
* Review competitor forms filings, policy language, and related regulatory documents, preparing summaries of findings.
* Assist in analyzing product performance data; summarize results and report insights to internal stakeholders.
* Use Generative AI tools to support research, data synthesis, drafting of summaries, and preparation of insights.
* Support the creation of presentations, memos, and research deliverables for leadership and cross functional teams.
* Collaborate with Product Development, Actuarial, UX, Marketing, and Compliance partners as needed.
* Participate in team meetings, contribute ideas, and assist with additional tasks as assigned.
* May be called upon to handle other duties as required.
Qualifications:
* Currently enrolled as a college sophomore or junior pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Innovation, Economics, Data Analytics, Risk Management & Insurance, or a related field.
* Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize findings from multiple sources.
* Interest in insurance, product development, or market/consumer research.
* Ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative information and communicate insights clearly.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to prepare clear summaries and presentations.
* Curiosity, attention to detail, and willingness to ask questions and learn quickly.
* Comfort using Generative AI tools for research, ideation, data summarization, and content creation (training provided if needed).
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus.
