Business Development Independent Contractor

The Arizona Small Business Association is seeking a motivated and results‑driven Business Development Contractor to help grow our membership base across the state of Arizona. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the small business landscape in Arizona and be able to identify and recruit new members who are small businesses with less than 500 employees.

• Research and identify prospective member businesses across Arizona
• Conduct outreach via email, phone calls, and networking events
• Communicate membership benefits and encourage businesses to join
• Track and report outreach, pipeline activity, and conversions each month
• Collaborate with the CEO to develop strategies for increasing membership and achieving growth goals

• Proven experience in business development or sales, preferably in a membership‑based organization
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of the small business landscape in Arizona
• Self‑motivated, independent, organized, and consistent with follow‑through
• Ability to work from home and manage your own schedule effectively
