**** About the Role
** We’re delighted to offer an excellent opportunity for someone to join us on a family leave cover contract. This hybrid role offers plenty of variety and autonomy, with regular on‑patch presence required. You will travel throughout your designated territory in London and the South East, as well as visit Newcastle Building Society’s head office when required. Living within the region is desirable to help you stay close to your broker network.
As a Field‑Based Business Development Manager, you will act as the face of Newcastle Intermediaries within the mortgage broking community. You will take responsibility for managing broker relationships across your territory, delivering excellent service, and implementing a business development strategy that supports the Society’s wider strategic mortgage lending plans. Your work will directly influence our profile and performance within a competitive market.
** About You
** You will bring a strong history of achieving business objectives and managing B2B relationships, ideally with experience in the mortgage intermediary sector. You will be confident in identifying and developing new business opportunities, and comfortable building strong, effective partnerships. Clear and engaging communication will be central to your approach, and you will be someone who manages their time and workload effectively while working independently.
The role also requires an ability to negotiate, influence, and resolve challenges with professionalism and confidence.
A CeMAP or similar qualification, along with an understanding of the UK mortgage market, products, and lending policies, would be advantageous, though these are not essential if you bring the right experience and motivation.

This is a key role and opportunity to identify, build and manage designated intermediary relationships, supporting the growth plan objectives of Newcastle Building Society and adding value to our intermediary partners.
