Our retail client is looking for a Merchandise Planner to work a 12-month assignment in Beaverton, OR. Candidates must be able to work onsite in Beaverton 4 days/week (can work from home on Fridays, role is 40 hrs/week).
We are seeking a Merchandise Planner to build clear, end to end, bottoms up merchandise plans in partnership with Merchandising and Enterprise Business Planning teams. This role focuses on developing a consumer centric, profitable, and productivity driven product line while supporting broader business goals. You will guide the line from initial planning through in season optimization using a robust rolling forecast process and consistent strategic collaboration with cross functional partners.

You will collaborate with teams across direct merchandising, sport planning, sport merchandising, allocation planning, concept planning, and marketing or brand functions.

- Develop detailed seasonal buy plans and monthly forecasts that include sales, margin, and inventory at the style color level.
- Develop strategies to achieve financial targets, managing open to buy forecasts to support business decisions and in season optimization.
- Present financial plans in seasonal reviews and monthly open to buy meetings to drive alignment and advance business objectives.
- Collaborate with partners across the organization to optimize business performance throughout the full product life cycle.
- Lead monthly and seasonal inventory planning activities, using advanced data systems and analytics to address challenges and drive strong results.
- Analyze business performance against weekly forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities and sharing insights with cross functional partners.
- Demonstrated retail expertise with a strong understanding of consumer behavior and market trends.
- Experience in merchandise assortment planning, inventory management, and financial forecasting.
- Strong critical thinking abilities and strategic business planning skills aligned with organizational priorities.
- Ability to influence across teams and communicate insights clearly, supported by analytical data.
- Experience in cross functional collaboration with the ability to navigate complex organizational structures.
