Position Summary:

We're looking for a curious, analytically strong procurement professional who can combine category ownership with engaging the team with analytics, dashboards and supplier performance and relationship management. You’ll drive value through smart sourcing, clean data, crisp reporting and deep supplier engagement. If you enjoy messy data, complex supply chains, and leading & collaborating across the organization without formal authority, you’ll thrive in this role.

The position is a key contributor to Instinct’s purpose to feed the unspoken bonds between pets, their people and the planet.

Primary

Job Responsibilities
  • Own tactical execution of relevant sourcing categories (based on experience) while supporting operational requirements as well as quality, service and cost improvements.
  • Ensure strong communication and relationship building with Marketing and R&D teams for product development
  • Support Instinct’s supply chain operations with excellence (internal and external co-manufacturers) through analysis, process improvement and critical thinking.
  • Build Power BI dashboards for spend, supplier performance, COGs drivers and risk. Support “one version of the truth” for enterprise-wide communications
  • Create and implement critical departmental KPIs that lead to data driven decisions. Ensure appropriate master data hygiene for reporting consistency
  • Ensure standard SRM scorecards, actions, meeting cadence in conjunction with parent company Procurement Excellence program.
  • Execute upon Instinct’s sourcing, sustainability, supply chain and COGS reduction goals.
  • Collaborate with Sr. Dir. of Strategic Sourcing on team policy, best practice development and training
  • Provide support and build relationships with stakeholders in different departments

Skills And Technical Expertise
  • Experience in ERP/MRP system(s) highly desired
  • Advance Excel and Power BI skills
  • Proficient in MS Office software applications
Preferred Skills / Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in procurement, supply chain, engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 1 – 3 years of relevant work experience with preference towards CPG, packaging or the petfood industry. Buyer experience ideal.
  • SQL and or data modeling/predictive analytics experience a plus
  • Familiarity with sustainability metrics and supplier ESG data
