Strategic and Business Planning Consultant

What We Offer

The Consultant serves as an internal consultant to Novant Health leadership and staff on large complex system, market, or facility level initiatives. The primary focus of the Consultant is to provide partnership and facilitation to leaders and teams in strategic planning, project/program execution, and/or design or re-design of system-wide Novant Health processes and service offerings. The Consultant is expected to pursue her/his/their work with a high level of energy and steadfastly push self and others for results while supporting the organization in education, application of tools, methods, data collection, analysis, project facilitation, project management, mentoring and coaching junior consultants, and general leadership development in areas related to change management.

As an internal consultant, the Consultant is expected to provide primary support to system, market, or facility level initiatives autonomously with support and guidance from more senior consultants and Internal Consulting leadership, while demonstrating the ability to mentor junior consultants.

📍This a Remote position – candidates can be located in NC or SC.

The ideal candidate will have healthcare consulting/analyst experience

• Leads discovery process through active listening and dialogue with customers and key stakeholders.
• Captures, aligns, and effectively ensures agreement of expectations and objectives of engagements.
• Reduces large amounts of data and information to tell a story, simplifies understanding for others, and identifies most critical information, while resisting urge for complete data to support decision making
• Delivers summary of analyses, assessment, group processes, etc. through public speaking.
• Understands and navigates organizational and political climate.
• Understands values and motivators of key stakeholders and adjusts approach as needed to accelerate results.
• Creates and maintains an inspired vision of the future during all communication, linking work to system and market strategy.
• Appropriately plans pace/timing of work and progress considering noncontrollable factors

• Education:
  
  4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Will accept ten (10) years’ relevant work experience in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
• Experience:
  
  3 Years experience, required, Minimum one year in a consulting, planning, analytics, or performance improvement role. Demonstrated experience in general business analytics, facilitation, and/or consulting and managing/facilitating complex teams/projects.
