Entrepreneurs for Global Change (EGC) is opening applications for Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) as part of LeapX, a program delivered by EGC and Leap2

This is a founder opportunity
, not a regular full-time job and not employment
. Participants do not work for LeapX and are not hired as staff, contractors, consultants, or agency partners. Instead, accepted founders use the program to build their own startup with structured support, mentorship, access to tools, and early capital pathways.

LeapX is a one-month intensive startup bootcamp for early-stage founders building technology and AI-powered products
, focused on execution, validation, and speed, helping founders go from an idea or early concept to a working MVP and a clear next step for growth or fundraising.

Founders accepted into the LeapX Entrepreneur in Residence program receive:

• Access to $5,000 worth of AI tools to design, build, and test products
• Access to up to $20,000 in private funding from LeapX’s investor network
• Hands-on mentorship from experienced founders, operators, and investors (including backgrounds at Google, Linked In, Microsoft, J.P. Morgan)
• Weekly check-ins, structured feedback, and accountability
• A curated cohort of ambitious early-stage founders
• Optional in-person residency with mentors in Canary Islands

As an Entrepreneur in Residence (Founder), you are expected to actively build throughout the 4-week online program.

You will:

• Refine or validate your startup idea (problem, customer, value proposition)
• Build and ship a functional MVP using modern AI and development tools
• Conduct customer discovery interviews and validation experiments
• Test assumptions, gather feedback, and iterate based on evidence
• Define traction metrics and run early growth/distribution experiments
• Receive weekly mentor feedback on product, positioning, and execution
• Prepare a roadmap and narrative for continued building or investor conversations

• A validated startup direction
• A clear plan for the next stage of growth or fundraising

Founder or aspiring founder (solo or early team) with an idea, prototype, or early-stage product

• Interest in AI and technology, with scalable products
• Comfortable moving fast and acting on feedback
• Self-driven, structured, and accountable execution style
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Applicants from all industries and geographies are welcome.

This is a founder program opportunity (not employment). Applicants must be able to commit time and effort to building their own startup during the program.

No specific degree required. Applicants may be currently enrolled in or graduated from any relevant background. What matters most is execution ability and founder mindset.
