We’re seeking a strategic, hands‑on Head of Sales to lead our go‑to‑market efforts, build scalable sales infrastructure, and drive demand generation across our service lines. This role is for a hands‑on leader who excels at crafting strategy, building operational frameworks, and driving scalable growth—not just overseeing what’s already in place.
Job Responsibilities Go‑to‑Market Strategy & Product Positioning- Analyze market trends and client needs to shape DWC’s go‑to‑market strategy
- Identify gaps in the marketplace and recommend new service offerings
- Collaborate with leadership to refine product‑market fit and messaging
- Lead, mentor, and monitor a high‑performing sales team
- Conduct coaching sessions to ensure messaging consistency and consultative selling
- Set and track quota targets, pipeline metrics, and performance benchmarks
- Build and implement annual sales plans aligned with company goals
- Design and implement scalable sales processes, tools, and reporting systems
- Create organizational structure to support growth and cross‑functional collaboration
- Partner with marketing to drive demand generation and lead nurturing strategies
- Cultivate relationships with financial advisors, plan sponsors, and strategic partners
- Represent DWC at industry events, webinars, and networking forums
- Lead complex sales cycles involving plan design, compliance, and consulting services
- 7–10 years of sales leadership experience in the TPA industry
- Proven success in building and scaling sales teams and infrastructure
- Deep understanding of ERISA, 401(k), 403(b), and other qualified retirement plans
- Experience shaping go‑to‑market strategies and launching new offerings
- Strong analytical, communication, and coaching skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for action and accountability
- Bachelor’s degree required; industry credentials (e.g., ASPPA, NIPA) a plus
For all virtual remote positions, in order to ensure employees can effectively perform their job duties with no distractions, we require an uninterrupted virtual work space and there is also an expectation of family care being in place during business hours. Additionally, there is an internet work speed requirement of 50 MBps or better for individual use. The average salary for this position is expected to be between $154,000 and $200,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Other rewards and benefits may include: 401(k) match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long‑term disability, paid‑time off, etc.
