About the RoleThe Data Protection Officer (DPO) is responsible for overseeing Unifonic’s compliance with the Saudi PDPL and applicable privacy regulations, ensuring that personal data across Unifonic’s CPaaS, SaaS, and AI products is processed lawfully, securely, and transparently.
The DPO acts as the independent privacy oversight function and advisor to management on data protection risks and regulatory obligations.
Help us shape the future of communication by:- Leading and maintaining Unifonic’s Privacy Management Framework
- Maintaining RoPA and overseeing DPIAs/PIAs
- Ensuring compliance with PDPL and SDAIA regulations
- Overseeing Data Subject Request (DSR) handling and response timelines
- Review and approve vendor DPAs and cross-border data transfers
- Advising on privacy-by-design in new products and AI initiatives
- Acting as a point of contact with regulators and supporting audits
- Providing periodic privacy reporting to senior management
- Leading privacy awareness and training programs for employees
- Supporting customer-facing privacy transparency and education initiatives
- 2-4 years in privacy, compliance, or regulatory roles
- Strong knowledge of Saudi PDPL
- Experience in technology/SaaS environments
- Certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, or FIP preferred
- Strong understanding of PDPL and SDAIA guidance
- Experience with RoPA, DPIA, and DSR processes
- Knowledge of cross-border data transfer rules
- Vendor DPA review expertise
- Ability to operate independently and objectively
- Strong documentation and audit-readiness mindset
- Executive communication and reporting capability
