** Team Summary
** GAF is seeking a Sustainability Compliance Analyst to support the Director of Sustainability Reporting & Compliance. This role is critical in driving our commitment to sustainability compliance by managing the collection, analysis and reporting of sustainability data.

** Job Summary
** The Sustainability Compliance Analyst will support sustainability compliance and reporting efforts across GAF. These efforts include supporting the (1) collection, review and analysis of relevant data to support GAF's sustainability reporting, (2) automation of data collection and review processes, and (3) implementation of initiatives to reduce packaging, emissions, embodied carbon, etc. in order to comply with applicable laws and regulations.

This position is based in our Parsippany, NJ corporate headquarters which currently operates on a hybrid in-office schedule. Though employees are welcome to work in our office on Friday, this position must be performed in-office on Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely from the employee's home office on Friday.

** Essential Duties
** Data Collection and Management:
* Oversee the end-to-end data collection processes and calculations for key sustainability metrics (e.g., Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, energy consumption, water use, waste management, packaging content, embodied carbon, etc.).
* Ensure the accuracy, integrity and consistency of sustainability data across internal and external sources.
* Develop and maintain internal systems and databases for efficient data tracking and retrieval.
* Collaborate with business units to implement data collection improvements and foster a culture of data accuracy.

Reporting and Disclosure:
* Assist in the preparation of annual sustainability reports in accordance with applicable frameworks and standards
* Support internal review and external assurance of sustainability data and reporting in terms of accuracy, completeness and reliability.
* Develop and maintain dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) for internal reporting.

Regulatory Compliance:
* Track and monitor new and evolving sustainability reporting and compliance regulations to assess the impact on GAF including reporting and data requirements.
* Conduct gap analyses and develop plans to ensure current practices meet reporting and compliance requirements.

Analysis and Strategy Support:
* Conduct peer and industry research and analysis for trends and priorities in sustainability.
* Support the delivery of materiality assessment to identify priority sustainability risk and opportunities to the business.
* Support the development of actionable sustainability strategies and goals.
* Analyze performance data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement in sustainability performance to comply with sustainability standards and regulations.
* Collaborate with business units on measures to improve sustainability performance to comply with sustainability laws and regulations.
* Partner with and provide training and education to various business functions and internal stakeholders (e.g., supply chain, operations, R&D) on sustainability data collection processes, reporting requirements and reduction mandates.
** Qualifications Required
*** Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field of study (Sustainability, Environmental Science, Finance, Business, or a related quantitative field)
* 3+ years of experience in the sustainability field preferably within the manufacturing/industrials space
* Understanding of sustainability reporting standards and rules
* Experience in successful sustainability data management and reporting
* Experience with data analysis and presentation tools such as Google Suite, LCA tools, sustainability software tools such as Gensuite, Engie, SAP, etc.
** Qualifications Preferred
*** Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field of study (Sustainability, Environmental Science, Finance, Business, or a related quantitative field)
* Knowledge of domestic environmental regulations and compliance, and experience with data management and reporting in line with recognized standards such as TCFD, Greenhouse Gas Protocol, International…
