Position: Director, Strategic Partnerships (Corporate Development)

What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  • Own the full partnership lifecycle from strategic framing through prospecting, deal structuring, negotiation, execution, and ongoing relationship management
  • Design and execute bespoke partnership structures, applying creativity in commercial and transaction design
  • Develop clear, compelling business cases to secure alignment and buy‑in from senior leadership
  • Build and grow executive‑level partner relationships across startups and financial services incumbents in Canada and international markets
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to implement partnerships and ensure measurable business outcomes
What is Required (Qualifications):
  • 10+ years of experience in product/corporate/strategic partnerships, business development, or strategic alliances, preferably within Fin Tech or financial services
  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to operate autonomously in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment
  • Proven track record of sourcing, structuring, negotiating, and scaling high‑impact partnerships, including non‑standard or bespoke arrangements
  • Executive‑level communication and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to influence across senior leadership and cross‑functional teams
  • Strong commercial and analytical acumen, including comfort with deal structuring, financial modeling, and data‑driven decision‑making
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Experience with M&A transactions and valuation modeling, enabling effective support across acquisitions and investments as needed
  • Well‑developed external network within financial services in Canada and internationally
