Packaging Buyer

Salary: $70,000–$85,000 (Base Salary – No Bonus)

Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm

Working Pattern: On‑site position with one day working from home per week

Nter Talent are supporting the hire of a Packaging Buyer responsible for the purchasing of all primary and secondary packaging components through an approved supply base to support manufacturing operations.

The successful candidate will analyse packaging requirements and the supply base to develop high‑quality, cost‑competitive sourcing strategies aligned to company objectives. The role will also be responsible for sourcing and developing additional packaging suppliers.

This position holds direct responsibility for negotiation, creation of purchase contracts and releases, and supplier on‑time performance compliance. All activities will be managed using SAP and in line with established business processes and standards.

• Execute procurement strategies and maintain accurate system data
• Utilise SAP‑based purchasing tools to procure packaging requirements
• Provide forecasts to suppliers and maintain regular communication with approved suppliers
• Maintain accurate pricing, terms and conditions for purchase orders
• Negotiate across the full packaging portfolio
• Communicate with suppliers and ensure data accuracy within SAP
• Verify three‑way invoice matching to process invoices and resolve discrepancies
• Visit suppliers as required
• Work closely with Production, Quality and Research & Development teams to ensure high‑quality materials are available to support current and future processes
• Partner with Sales and Marketing departments to understand product demand

• Associate Degree from an accredited college or university with 5+ years of purchasing and planning experience in packaging or a related field; or
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with 3+ years of purchasing and planning experience in packaging or a related field

• Microsoft Office Suite:
