Vice President of Clinical Operations

This senior-level executive may drive the business development strategy, account growth, and ensure Blue Parachute continues to scale appropriately across pharmaceutical and biotech clients. Design scalable solutions that leverage Blue Parachute’s blended delivery model, integrating internal teams with specialized consulting expertise as needed. The VP partners closely with the Founder & CEO and other senior leaders to align growth strategy with operational capability, ensuring solutions sold are scalable, feasible, and positioned for high-quality execution.

Business Development & Client Growth

• Drive new client acquisition and expand partnerships within existing accounts.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of clinical operations opportunities.
• Represent Blue Parachute in sponsor meetings, conferences, and industry forums.

Solution Design & Proposals

• Partner with sponsors to understand operational challenges and design tailored solutions.
• Lead development of proposals, scopes of work, pricing, and resourcing strategies.
• Ensure solutions align with delivery capability and quality expectations.

Strategic Account Management

• Serve as an executive relationship lead for key clients.
• Identify expansion opportunities across studies, portfolios, and service lines.
• Monitor industry trends and clients need to inform service evolution.
• Partner with leadership to shape new offerings and growth initiatives.

You’re a strategic growth leader with deep clinical operations expertise and a strong understanding of sponsor needs. You’re energized by building partnerships, shaping solutions, and expanding organizational impact while ensuring what’s sold can be delivered successfully.

• 25+ years in clinical operations across pharma, biotech, CRO, or consulting environments.
• Experience in business development, proposals, and account expansion.
• Strong understanding of global trial execution and operational strategy.
• Knowledge of GCP, ICH, FDA regulations, and clinical development lifecycle.

• Growth in new and existing client partnerships.
• Expanded service offerings aligned to market demand.
• Revenue growth that supports scalable, high-quality delivery.

This is a hybrid position combining remote work with on-site days. Employees are expected to have a suitable home office environment with reliable internet access for remote work, and to attend in-person meetings or workdays as scheduled. This role requires work in a normal office environment with no undue exposure to noise, odors, dust, drafts, etc. This position may require occasional overnight travel (domestic and/or international) up to 25%.
