Category Analyst

The Category Analyst is responsible for supporting the Sr. Category Advisor and will work as a critical resource supporting the modular process. This role provides the Category Advisory team and customer with knowledge and insights-driven strategies and tactics to maximize mutual growth. The candidate must be both hands‑on with data and be able to communicate the results in a way that builds confidence and enables decisions that drive business value.

The position will own weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting and be expected to provide ongoing enhancements to regular and ad‑hoc reports.

• Utilize JDA and other space planning software for executing planogram design (building labels and highlights) and reporting while discovering ways to drive efficiencies in the process.
• Play a key role in the team deliverable of drawing a high volume of mods that deliver superior results at the shelf.
• Create and maintain a product library & image database.
• Provide store survey and project work through Quickbase/GMR (Walmart Application).
• Provide analytical support and business insights to the VP of Insights and Analytics, the Sr. Category Advisor, as well as the broader Category Management team.
• Design and maintain an efficient weekly, monthly, quarterly reporting strategy and infrastructure to meet customer requirements.
• Use data & information systems to monitor retail sales, market share, and metrics important to the customer to drive to targets and ensure health of the business.
• Produce and deliver ad‑hoc customer merchant requests.

• 2+ years of demonstrated experience supporting the Category Management function and the relay process.
• Demonstrated experience drawing a significant # of modulars is strongly preferred.
• JDA Space Planning experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience with Modular Automation is strongly preferred.
• Experience in the CPG industry and knowledge of Walmart/Sams consumables and private brands.
