The Role
Balfour Beatty Investments is seeking a highly adaptable and detail‑oriented Subcontracts Administrator to support and administer subcontracting activities for moderately complex subcontracts across both government and non‑government environments. This role is responsible for developing solicitation packages, evaluating subcontractor proposals, negotiating pricing and terms and conditions, and ensuring full compliance throughout all phases of the subcontract lifecycle. The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, strong communication, and sound judgment in a fast‑paced environment.
This is a remote position. You may be eligible for a $500 net sign on bonus to be paid out in your first paycheck.
- Develop and issue RFP packages
- Evaluate subcontractor proposals for completeness, compliance, pricing, and alignment with project requirements
- Negotiate pricing and terms and conditions within delegated authority level
- Draft, issue, and administer subcontract agreements in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Maintain complete, accurate, and audit‑ready subcontract files, ensuring all documentation, compliance items, and communications are properly captured
- Monitor subcontractor performance and compliance
- Support subcontract amendments
- Serve as a point of coordination between subcontractors, project teams, legal, finance, and other internal stakeholders
- Ensure ongoing compliance with internal procedures, flow down obligations, and applicable regulations (including FAR/DFARS, when relevant)
- Support subcontract closeout activities
- Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to enhancements in tools, templates, and workflows
- GED / HS Diploma required;
Associates preferred - 3 years of Subcontracts Administrator or Management required; construction or government contracting preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel/Word)
- Working knowledge of subcontract lifecycle, terms and conditions, and price analysis
- Ability to manage multiple actions under deadlines
- Must be able to work in a high-paced environment
- Familiarity with construction project environments and/or government contracting principles is a plus
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel/Word)
- Working knowledge of subcontract lifecycle, terms and conditions, and price analysis
- Ability to manage multiple actions under deadlines
- Must be able to work in a high-paced environment
- Familiarity with construction project environments and/or government contracting principles is a plus
Pay Rate: $65,000 yr.
- $75,000 yr. (range is in good faith and may be modified in the future). The final pay and any bonuses are at the Company’s sole discretion and depend on factors including qualifications, experience, and performance.
