- Lead and develop the National Accounts team, including hiring, coaching, and preparing associates for future leadership opportunities.
- Support professional development initiatives and ensure access to training and resources that align with career goals.
- Manage account portfolios valued at $150M–$350M, driving profitable growth and meeting revenue, margin, and budget targets.
- Translate corporate direction into actionable account plans; coordinate with cross-functional partners to deliver customer and financial results.
- Cultivate relationships with senior stakeholders at top accounts; engage directors and decision-makers to advance opportunities.
- Lead contract negotiations and renewals, balancing pricing and profitability for long-term account health.
- Oversee account performance reviews using financial analysis and KPI reporting to identify risks and opportunities.
- Champion customer satisfaction using NPS and surveys to anticipate needs and strengthen retention through internal collaboration.
- Deliver presentations to client stakeholders highlighting performance, financial results, and future opportunities.
- Ensure consistent account engagement and accountability for delivery against call-pattern standards.
- Collaborate with field leadership and corporate functions to align resources and scalable support across national accounts.
- Represent National Accounts in enterprise initiatives across e-business, marketing, product, and operations forums.
- Manage team budgets with accurate reporting to leadership.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture aligned with MSC’s Code of Conduct and values.
- Address underperformance proactively with coaching, feedback, and corrective action as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, or related field strongly preferred.
- 7–10 years of progressive experience in national or enterprise sales with a track record in large account negotiation.
- Minimum 5+ years leading account teams or cross-functional projects; proven success in building and coaching high-performing teams.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve multi-million-dollar sales and margin targets through account planning and solution selling.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and financial modeling skills; experience with ROI decisions.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills for engaging senior stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of e-business strategies and digital tools; experience driving technology-enabled solutions in national accounts.
- CRM experience (Salesforce or equivalent), Excel, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau), and MS Office.
- History of success in competitive sales environments with measurable outcomes.
- Industrial or manufacturing segment experience preferred.
- A valid driver’s license may be required.
- Position requires 50–60% travel.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (lifting, walking, bending, standing).
- Willingness to comply with customer safety and PPE protocols.
- This position may require access to ITAR information and/or Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).

OtherCompensation starting at $68,096–$107,008 plus commission opportunities, depending on location and experience. The salary range is based on comparable roles and may be adjusted for market conditions. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; MSC does not sponsor visas for this position.
