Responsibilities
  • Strategic Oversight: Lead the development and execution of Workers’ Compensation strategies, providing clear, actionable recommendations for internal and client stakeholders.
  • Regulatory & Filing Strategy: Direct the development and submission of rate, rule, and form filings while coordinating with actuarial and regulatory teams.
  • Industry Leadership: Maintain expert-level knowledge of Workers’ Compensation trends, legislative changes, and industry best practices to drive innovation.
  • Strategic Agility: Looks ahead and plans for what’s next. Anticipates trends and challenges, connects the dots across teams and business goals, and helps others see the bigger picture. Translates vision into actionable strategies that position the team and company for long-term success.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in Workers’ Compensation, including Large Deductible and Dividend Plans
  • In-depth knowledge of NCCI and Independent Bureau Loss Cost and Regulatory Changes.
  • Familiarity with Statistical Reporting and Financial Data Calls is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Proven ability to mentor junior consultants and manage cross-functional project teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Access, SQL).
  • Skill in managing high-stakes discussions with carriers, regulators, and legal counsel.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and master new software and system platforms quickly.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with both internal and client stakeholders.
  • Experience with the following is preferred: SERFF, Wrike software project management tool, APCIA, Wolters Kluwer, and IRMI.
Salary and Benefits
  • The base salary for this position is $100,000 - $130,000. Final salary offer will be based on several factors, including commensurate experience, qualifications, and skills.
