: $67,000 - $100,400 Annual (bonus eligible)
The stated pay range is based on a national‑average location. Actual salary is determined by factors including relevant work experience, skills, and location. This position is bonus eligible.
CNO Financial Group’s Product Development Department is hiring a Product Specialist to hold responsibility for various aspects of product development and enforce product management of one (or more) of CNO’s life and supplemental health product lines. The Product Specialist will provide product support to various internal departments and will offer ongoing product support (training, marketing materials, ad‑hoc inquiries) to the field organization.
The role will leverage technical product skills to inform the design and delivery of our product development.
This is your opportunity to own a product’s entire life cycle – from conception to completion – to ensure optimal product performance.
Responsibilities- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for one (or more) of CNO’s life, health, and annuity product lines.
- Formulate and implement a product line strategy in partnership with the Director, Product Development.
- Actively contribute to the product development process – from ideation to implementation – by engaging with various stakeholders across the organization.
- Provide product management support to our field force to educate and train on new product ideas, sales concepts, and illustrations.
- Field product‑specific inquiries from business partners within CNO and serve as a primary point of contact.
- Conduct training seminars for the field organization on new and existing products.
- Stay abreast of the competition, marketplace, and industry trends.
- Make recommendations based on data analysis and insights to help product design, delivery, and promotion.
- Develop product marketing and training materials for new products and manage sales and marketing materials of existing products to ensure content is correct and available.
- Strong communication skills, including written and oral communication, clearly to all levels of the organization.
- Strong problem‑solving ability.
- Outstanding understanding of insurance products, sales concepts, and distribution.
- Ability to balance multiple high‑priority projects; highly detail‑oriented and organized.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Two years of insurance industry experience.
- At least one year of Product Development experience.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel and PowerPoint).
- Prior product development or product management experience within the insurance industry.
- Working knowledge of annuity and/or life product lines.
- Prior experience in underwriting, compliance, and/or claims.
- Candidate located in Central or Eastern US time zone or willingness to work Central or Eastern time zone business hours.

Associates who live within a 60‑mile radius of a corporate office (Carmel, Chicago, and Orlando) have access to come into that office. Associates who live outside that radius may perform this role full‑time work from home (WFH) from any U.S. based location, provided they are willing to work Central or Eastern time zone hours. All associates may be asked to travel to varying corporate offices periodically.
Work cannot be performed from outside the United States.
