Operations Manager, Risk Manager/Analyst
About the role:
As a Lead Production Operations, you will make an impact by leading production operations teams to ensure service excellence, regulatory compliance, and operational resilience. You will be a valued member of our operations organization and collaborate closely with cross‑functional partners to optimize processes, elevate performance, and support critical business outcomes across a complex, fast‑paced environment.
In this role, you will:Lead daily production operations while ensuring compliance with SLAs, regulatory standards, and internal controls.
Guide and coach team members, supporting their development in advanced operational processes.
Design, implement, and benchmark process improvement initiatives to drive performance optimization.
Partner with cross‑functional teams to align production operations with broader business strategies.
Perform advanced data analysis to support process optimization, risk mitigation, and decision‑making.
Oversee crisis management efforts and contribute to business continuity and resilience planning.
Foster strong vendor relationships to enhance operational capability and effectiveness.
Develop and maintain scalable operational procedures that support growth and efficiency.
Ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance in transaction processing and operational workflows.
Lead and execute projects aimed at modernizing or enhancing production operations.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex operational issues, and implement improvement plans.
Document processes, standards, and best practices to support consistency and training across teams.

What you need to have to be considered:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
7+ years of experience in production operations or related fields.
Recognized subject‑matter expertise with the ability to lead complex processes or large projects.
Strong leadership skills, including coaching, reviewing work, and delegating effectively.
Advanced capability in diagnosing and resolving complex operational problems.
Experience influencing policies, standards, and operational procedures.
Proficiency in:
Mainframe technologies, including COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and DB.Strong analytical skills with experience using data to improve processes and address risks.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and external vendors.
Strong understanding of operational scalability, performance benchmarking, and compliance obligations.
Demonstrated experience driving large‑scale operational transformation initiatives.
Strong crisis‑management or business‑resilience background.
Proven ability to identify improvement opportunities and implement measurable operational enhancements.

Salary and Other CompensationApplications will be accepted until March 15, 2026.
The annual salary for this position is between $115,000 - $130,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
