JOB SUMMARY: The Regional Director, Business Development will be responsible for the full scope of product portfolio management for the Ormco business adapted to the region needs, through product life cycles to optimize profit and meet growth objectives. The Ormco business includes Spark Aligners, as well as the full line of fixed appliances (brackets, wires, tubes, adhesives and removable appliances in ortho labs).
This position requires 4 days in the Brea, CA office and 1 day working from home.

Responsibilities- Lead, design and execute regional product strategies for the orthodontic business to achieve regional growth objectives.
- Collaborate with key team members (VP Portfolio, R&D, Regional VP, Marketing, Scientific Liaison, Clinical team, Education & Events, Operations, and Ormco Key Experts) to develop regional product strategies that are globally consistent and aligned with Ormco Strategic Initiatives for the region.
- Drive successful launches of new products through post-launch activities; coordinate all commercial activities in conjunction with technical and regulatory development.
- Co-lead the Product Planning Group (PPG) for the region with the VP Portfolio, VP R&D and regional VP; ensure a strong business case (financial and technical justification) for new products.
- Participate in Strategic Planning and develop initiatives to meet expectations and goals for developing the Ormco Product portfolio.
- Develop action plans, implement processes and meet deadlines for Policy Deployment (PD) goals within the department.
- Understand and anticipate regional Voice of Customer (VOC) to translate customer needs into new product development requirements; use fact-based research to identify market opportunities.
- Collaborate with Product Marketing to create a full strategic product marketing plan from conception to launch.
- Strive for superior quality across the product portfolio and deliver a best-in-class customer experience.
- Work with Clinical Education Director and Key Experts to establish and maintain relationships with KE’s.
- Participate in developing pricing strategies with Marketing, Sales, Finance and Manufacturing.
- Collaborate with regional sales and marketing teams to follow the LEx processes, establish regional goals, drive consistency in product development, deliver sales forecasts, understand global customer needs and inform regional marketing campaigns.
- Utilize core Envista Business System (EBS) tools to create best-in-class product management processes and pursue continuous improvement (kaizen).

- Bachelor’s degree required with studies in Business, Economics, Medical or Dental or related fields.
- 10+ years of related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience analyzing market data and co-developing strategic marketing plans.
- Experience in a culture of continuous improvement and business direction change.
- Knowledge of effective sales and public relations techniques.
- MBA preferred.
- Experience working in the dental industry, orthodontics preferred.
- Strong leadership, program management abilities and demonstrated success influencing global and regional teams.
- Solid organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, strong desire to learn.
