Overview
Locally owned Business Consulting firm is seeking a part-time Associate Business Consultant with opportunity to grow into full-time Associate, within six months to a year, to effectively provide the support and management of Client’s Projects and Managing the Processes required to grow, service and manage existing and new Client’s for Business Consultants who will propel this 15 year old Business Consulting practice to the next level.
ResponsibilitiesGeneral Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary support to Senior Business Consultants (SBCs) in achieving client outcomes.
- Attend assigned client meetings as needed for complex clients or strategic discussions.
- Review agendas and meeting minutes prepared by Client Project Coordinators (CPCs) and approved by SBCs to stay informed on client objectives and deliverables.
- Own the execution of all assigned deliverables, including: financial models, organization charts, job descriptions, KPI dashboards, strategic plans, agreements, etc.
- Coordinate with analysts, freelancers, or other ABCs to delegate tasks and track deadlines.
- Proactively follow up with clients and SBCs, ensuring deliverables are received, understood, and implemented.
- Own and manage the Performance Incentive Fee (PIF) process for assigned clients, including requesting monthly P&Ls, updating the PIF board, notifying clients when PIFs are due, and re-establishing annual baselines.
- Send and process semi-annual client satisfaction surveys.
- Obtain Google reviews and develop client case studies as appropriate, in alignment with SOPs.
Project Management
- Use and update task lists in or MS Office
365 created by the CPC to monitor project progress for assigned clients. - Track task and deliverable status to support project accountability and visibility.
- Support preparation for strategic sessions, workshops, and performance reviews.
- Anticipate roadblocks and coordinate with SBCs to resolve bottlenecks.
- Monitor and collaborate with assigned CPCs to ensure meeting notes, agendas, and documentation are timely and accurate.
- Support other ABCs or SBCs with project-specific assistance based on capacity.
- Collaborate with SBCs on quarterly client goals based on SOPs.
- Participate in weekly internal meetings, offsite and onsite planning meetings, quarterly and annual team events, client meetings, and collaborative planning sessions.
- Maintain consistent communication with the Director of Operations on capacity, challenges, and client health.
Sales Process Support
- Join sales meetings (including 90-minute and Proposal meetings) as assigned to take notes, build early rapport and understanding of client needs to support proposal writing and ongoing support for new clients.
- Collaborate with SBCs to draft Scope of Work documents.
- Handle the proposal development process, submitting to SBCs for final approval.
Documentation & Systems
- Ensure deliverables, notes, and project data are properly stored in Google Drive and tracked in by the CPC.
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of financial models and other client-facing tools.
- Review key deliverables for consistency and clarity; collaborate with CPCs to maintain proper version control.
Professional Growth & Learning
- Engage in ongoing learning of WBCG’s Profit by Design methodology and consulting standards.
- Participate in mentorship conversations with SBCs and BCs to accelerate growth.
- Take initiative in identifying opportunities to streamline processes or improve client impact.

Compensation & Requirements
$20 - $28 per hour to start D.O.E.
• Part Time only
• Must reside in the metropolitan Phoenix, Arizona area and have the ability to drive to Phoenix area client locations. Must have a home office or space and equipment to attend some meetings virtually.
