About Hook
Hook is a social music platform, backed by top-tier investors, building the next generation of music discovery, fan expression, and creator growth. We turn the songs people love into sounds they can play with — enabling fans and creators to reimagine music through intuitive, remix-friendly experiences with zero learning curve. By partnering directly with artists, labels, and rights holders, Hook ensures music is discovered, shared, and expressed in ways that respect and reward the people behind it.
At Hook, music isn’t just consumed — it’s experienced, expressed, and made personal.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Product Manager to own end-to-end product management across Hook’s creation and consumption experiences. This is a high-impact, generalist role suited for someone who thrives in early-stage environments and can operate across a wide surface area — from creator tools to social discovery, growth loops, and AI-powered features.
You will own roadmap planning and prioritization across key product areas. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, AI, design, marketing, content, operations, and leadership to translate strategy into execution. You must be highly organized, analytically strong, deeply user-centric, and comfortable moving from vision to shipped product quickly.
This role requires strong product instincts, excellent communication skills, and fluency in leveraging AI tools and workflows to increase clarity, speed, and decision-making quality across the product lifecycle.
What You’ll Do
Own and drive the product roadmap across key areas of the Hook app
Translate company goals and user insights into clear strategy, prioritization, and execution plans
Define product requirements with clarity and speed, reducing ambiguity for engineering
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, marketing, content, growth, and partnerships
Ship quickly, measure impact, and iterate based on data and user behavior
Design and analyze experiments to improve activation, engagement, retention, and creation
Strengthen product loops that connect creators, fans, and content
Integrate AI into both user-facing features and internal product workflows
Drive alignment, communication, and momentum across teams
Required Skills & Experience
3+ years of product management experience, ideally in consumer, creator, or social products
Experience owning and managing product roadmaps in a fast-paced environment
Strong product instincts and taste for intuitive, engaging user experiences
Experience shipping 0→1 features as well as iterating on live consumer products
Analytical fluency — comfortable defining metrics, running experiments, and interpreting data
Proven ability to write clear product specs and communicate effectively across functions
Demonstrated success collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, design, marketing, and content teams
Highly organized and capable of managing multiple work streams simultaneously
Strong ownership mindset and comfort operating in ambiguity
Preferred Skills & Experience
Experience building consumer social, UGC, marketplace, or creator tools
Experience integrating AI-powered features into consumer products
Familiarity with recommendation systems, feed ranking, or personalization systems
Experience working at an early-stage startup (Seed–Series B)
Understanding of growth loops, retention mechanics, and engagement systems
Passion for music, creator ecosystems, or fan communities
Why This Role Matters
This role will shape the core user experience at Hook and help define how product decisions are made as the company scales. You’ll influence how creators create, how fans discover, and how growth loops strengthen over time. As an early PM, your impact will extend beyond features — you’ll help build the product culture and operating rhythm of the company.
Compensation
Competitive base salary, meaningful equity ownership, and the opportunity to help build a category-defining social music platform.
We'd still love to hear from you.
