Assistant to Chief of Staff (Remote)
Location: Fully Remote
Compensation: $110,000 – $180,000 base (DOE) + Bonus
Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, 401k.

OverviewWe are partnering with a fast-paced, values-driven energy organization operating across upstream and midstream investments/production. This newly created role is designed to offload key Chief of Staff responsibilities and provide high-impact support across executive and board-level work streams.
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior to early mid-career professional (2–5 years) who thrives in high-expectation environments and enjoys translating complex work into polished, executive-ready outputs. The pace is predictable and largely driven by board cadence, however, responsiveness is critical and turnaround times can be urgent.
Position SummaryYou’ll serve as a trusted partner to the Chief of Staff, supporting executive communications, board readiness, cross-functional alignment, and strategic initiative execution.
Executive & Board Communications- Build and refine PowerPoint slides and executive narratives for CEO/COS storylines
- Prepare Board and Executive Leadership Team (ELT) materials (briefing documents, strategic updates, presentations)
- Support board/ELT meeting preparation, coordination, and follow-ups (notes, action items, execution tracking)
- Partner with leaders across business units to gather insights and align on strategic priorities
- Track and escalate cross-functional risks/issues that require executive attention
- Serve as a bridge between executive leadership and the broader organization
- Support Strategic Realization Office initiatives with project planning, milestones, RAID logs, and accountability follow-up
- Identify bottlenecks and streamline workflows using tools, templates, and standardized processes
- Step in on urgent priorities requiring rapid turnaround and executive polish
- Research industry trends, competitive moves, and emerging topics
- Synthesize findings into concise briefs and data-driven recommendations
- 2–5 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, or energy sector roles
- Bachelor’s degree required (Finance, Engineering, Analytics, or similar strongly preferred)
- Strong track record producing executive-level presentations, analyses, and briefing materials
- Advanced PowerPoint + strong proficiency in Excel / Smartsheet and Microsoft Office; familiarity with collaboration tools (Teams/SharePoint)
- Exceptional attention to detail; ability to simplify complex information for executives
- Able to coordinate multiple stakeholders and deliverables under deadline pressure
- High discretion/confidentiality and mature professional judgment
- Humble, collaborative, and able to influence without authority
- Comfortable partnering cross-functionally and supporting board members (international stakeholders)
- Experience in natural gas, upstream, midstream, power generation, or CCUS sectors
- Exposure to public company governance, investor relations, and/or board-level deliverables
- Prior experience in a Chief of Staff, CEO Office, or strategic support function
- Thoughtful use of AI tools (a plus) with strong quality control and zero “AI-pattern” errors
